Press Release 7/8/2019 – Magician Ann Lincoln at the Library
Alamosa Public Library Summer Reading Program
Magician Ann Lincoln presents
“Magic is From Mars and Juggling is From Jupiter”
Wednesday, July 10 at 10 a.m.
ALAMOSA—Alamosa Public Library’s (APL) Summer Reading Program has been all over the solar system! This year’s theme is “A Universe of Stories,” and each Wednesday at 10 a.m. in July, APL and patrons will explore something spacey with a visiting performer or expert. Last week, Great Sand Dunes Park Ranger Sydney Stover taught patrons about NASA’s missions to the moon, both in the past and those planned for the future, through books and games.
This Wednesday, July 10, APL welcomes magician Ann Lincoln. Ann will present her show developed just for this summer’s library tour, “Magic is From Mars and Juggling is From Jupiter.” Ann invites APL patrons to join in as she discovers how to “read long and prosper” through the universe of stories at the library.
Registered readers can come a few minutes early to collect the beads they have earned through the Read for Beads incentive program. Registration is open online or at Alamosa Public Library. Go to alamosalibrary.org or call Children’s Librarian Holly Van Hoy at 719-589-6592 for more details.
