Press Release 7/26/2019 – “A Universe of Stories” Closing Celebration

Alamosa Public Library’s (APL) Summer Reading Program is coming to a close.
All summer long, APL and patrons have enjoyed space-themed programming, which will culminate in an intergalactic storytime and activity session on Wednesday, July 31 at 10 a.m.  This will be the last day for registered readers to collect the beads they have earned through the Read for Beads incentive program, and prizes will be awarded.

On Wednesday, July 24, APL hosted Steve Weeks, national family music performer, for his fifth Summer Reading performance. As always, Steve wowed the crowd with his original songs and interactive approach. The audience laughed, danced, and cheered their appreciation for this Valley favorite.

On July 31, registered readers can come a few minutes early to collect the beads they have earned through the Read for Beads incentive program. Registration is open online or at Alamosa Public Library. Go to alamosalibrary.org or call Children’s Librarian Holly Van Hoy at 719-589-6592 for more details.
