Press Release 7/23/2019 – Weekends on the Rio July 27-28
Weekends on the Rio, a program of the Alamosa Parks and Recreation department, continues this weekend, Saturday July 27 and Sunday July 28. Activities are free and open to all ages. Events run every weekend from June 23-August 25 (with a break on August 4). The schedule changes slightly every week. The weekend’s activities will include:
Saturday, July 27
9 a.m.-12 p.m. – Workday @ The Rio Grande Farm Park
Sunday, July 28
8:30-11:30 a.m. – Youth-guided Walk2Connect along the Rio Grande
12-1 p.m. – Youth Lacrosse Clinic @ Cole Park
1 p.m. – Outdoor Yoga @ Cole Park
1:30-3 p.m. – Pump Track Skills Session @ Cole Park
3-6 p.m. – Paddleboarding @ Blanca Vista Park
6 p.m. – Sundays at Six Concert: The Uz Band (Spanish, Rock)
6-6:45 p.m. – Storytime / Book Bike@ Cole Park
6:45 pm – Percussion Lessons – During Concert Intermission
