City of Alamosa to Host Community Visioning Meetings
The City of Alamosa is hosting two visioning workshops on Monday, June 27, 6:00-7:30 pm at the Alamosa Family Recreation Center and the other on Tuesday, June 28, 6:00-7:30 pm at the Alamosa Family Recreation Center. Both have the same content and format so all who live in Alamosa or call it “home” are invited to attend either workshop. These workshops focus on the physical layout and needs of the community. The workshops will center on answering these important questions:
- What defines Alamosa’s unique neighborhoods and do we want to change or keep them the same?
- What do we like about downtown today and what do we want it to be in the future?
- How do the highway commercial corridors function today and what should they look like 15 years from now?
- What are the priorities for recreation, trails and parks?
- How can we improve gateways into the city and signage in town?
- What areas are most suitable for future growth?
- How do city infrastructure and services need to be prioritized to make our vision happen?
