Press Release 5/8/2019 – Region 8 Healthcare Sector Partnership Scholarship Announcement

The Region 8 Healthcare Sector Partnership in the San Luis Valley will award two $2,000 healthcare-related scholarships in 2019. Deadline for applications is June 1, 2019.

The scholarship was established to strengthen the healthcare pipeline for the San Luis Valley and encourage individuals to choose a career pathway in healthcare. The scholarship is designed to assist San Luis Valley resident healthcare students at Adams State University or Trinidad State Junior College.

The Region 8 Healthcare Sector Partnership is an industry-led collaboration with businesses, workforce, economic development, and education to bridge gaps and strengthen our local healthcare education and workforce pipeline and pathways.  Members include Adam State University, Alamosa High School, Alamosa Public Health, Centauri High School, City of Alamosa, Colorado Workforce Center, Rio Grande Hospital & Clinic, SLV Area Health Education Center, SLV Behavioral Health, SLV Health, Trinidad State Junior College, Upper Rio Grande Economic Development, and Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc.
