Press Release 5/30/2019 – Library Announces Summer Reading Program

Alamosa Public Library’s Summer Reading Program is open to San Luis Valley youth of all ages and stages. The program encourages youth reading throughout the summer through a rewards program. The library provides reading logs and everything readers need to participate in the Read for Beads incentive program. Register at the library or online at alamosa.readingrecord.net.

This year’s theme is “A Universe of Stories,” so expect explorations of not only outer space, but the limitless universe of stories available at the library at each Summer Reading event.  Free events will be held every Wednesday in June and July at 10 a.m. at Alamosa Public Library. The “Universe of Stories” Kick-Off event is Wednesday, June 5 at 10 a.m.  Enjoy hands-on activities for the whole family after receiving a folder for your reader, reading logs, and Read for Beads star or moon chain.

Check out alamosalibrary.org for the entire Summer Reading Program schedule of events.  Something new every Wednesday!  It’s going to be out of this world!
