Press Release 5/21/2019 – Historical Walking Tour
The City of Alamosa’s Historic Preservation Advisory Committee will host a historical walking tour on Sunday, May 26 at 2 p.m. The tour will start at the train car that is on display near Alamosa City Hall at 300 Hunt Avenue. The public is invited to attend.
The Committee nominates local properties for the Historic Registry, provides information regarding preservation, renovation and rehabilitation of landmarks, including nomination to the National Register of Historic Places, and advises City Council on preserving Alamosa’s historic character.
