Press Release 4/22/2019 – New Permit Parking Area

Parking by Permit Implemented Near ASU March 13

Alamosa, CO — In order to accommodate residents near the college with limited parking options, the City of Alamosa will be implementing parking by permit-only on two blocks of Monterey Avenue and the western block of El Sol Avenue starting May 13, 2019. These are City permits for residents in the permit zone only. Alamosa Police will enforce the new rule starting May 13, 2019. Enforcement will include ticketing and/or towing vehicles in the permit zone without the proper City permit showing.

Green paint will be applied to the curb and Parking By City Permit Only signage will be installed prior to the May 13 enforcement date.
