Press Release 2/6/2020 – Friends of the Library Donation

Alamosa Public Library Manager, Salai Taylor, graciously accepted a donation check from Friends of the Alamosa Library Treasurer Don Thompson this past Tuesday, February 4. The non-profit organization donated $7,500 to the library this year.

Friends of the Alamosa Library normally donates $5,000 as part of its annual commitment to help the library provide materials and information services to the residents and visitors of Alamosa and the San Luis Valley. Treasurer Thompson commented that the Friends were able to give the library more money this year due to their partnership with the Narrow Gauge bookstore COOP and the sales of the handcrafted journals made by the Friends.

“We thank the Friends of the Library for all their hard work year-round to help the library,” said Taylor. “They are an awesome group of dedicated volunteers!”
