Press Release 2/18/2020 – 2020 Concrete Replacement Program
The City of Alamosa Public Works Department is accepting applications for the 2020 Concrete Replacement Program now through May 8, 2020. The program helps home and business owners within City limits replace curb, gutter, and sidewalk to improve pedestrian safety and correct drainage problems. Concrete Replacement is a cost-share Program where the City and the property owner share the cost of the contractor at 50% each. Old concrete will be removed by the City at no cost to property owners.
City funds available for the Program are limited. Requests will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis.
You can find the application form at https://cityofalamosa.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Concrete-Replacement-Program.pdf. Applications are also available at the Public Works window in City Hall. Fill out the form and return it to the Public Works Office, 300 Hunt Avenue, or by email to jespinoza@ci.alamosa.co.us.
The City will provide property owners with cost estimates by May 18, 2020. If the property owner wants to accept the estimate and move forward with the work, a signed agreement and deposit equal to 50% of the owner’s total cost must be received within seven days of the signed agreement. All work will be completed prior to September 26, 2020. Final payments are due within 30 days of receipt of the bill.
