Press Release 2/12/2020 – Reading Ranger February 14
Alamosa Public Library’s partnership with Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve continues with this year’s second session of the Reading Ranger program! Reading Ranger is a traditional Storytime program that introduces children to what a Park Ranger does in the community. The 40-minute program focuses on the Ranger’s passion for the library and, using books about the area’s plants, animals, cultures, history, sky, Great Sand Dunes, and the National Park service, seeks to inform children about the natural world right in their backyard. The next session of Reading Ranger will be held February 14 at 1 p.m. at Alamosa Public Library.
Ranger Patrick from Great Sand Dunes is bringing his guitar and will serenade attendees with his educational songs of the “Singing Sands of Alamosa.” It is sure to be an interesting and entertaining sing-along! All ages are welcome. No registration is required.
