Press Release 11/14/2019 – 12th Annual Celebration of Lights

Join the City of Alamosa on Friday, December 6 at 6 p.m. for the annual Celebration of Lights. This year the event begins at City Hall (300 Hunt Avenue) where Adams State University’s 68 West—an a cappella ensemble—will entertain us with our favorite Christmas carols. After the performance, we will gather in front of City Hall for a few announcements and then, the illumination ceremony will commence.

After the lighting, we will stroll down to the Narrow Gauge Book Cooperative (602 Main Street) where we can warm up, enjoy festive goodies, and give the kiddos a chance to share their Christmas wishes with Santa. Bring your shopping lists! You can celebrate the start of the holiday season and get a jump on those Christmas purchases by shopping local.

The Celebration of Lights is brought to you by the City of Alamosa, the Alamosa County Chamber of Commerce, ASU Music, and the Narrow Gauge Book Cooperative. For more information, please visit AlamosaRec.org or call the Alamosa Family Recreation Center at (719) 589-2105.
