Press Release 1/20/2020 – 2020 Rio Frio Ice Fest Street Closure

City of Alamosa staff will close the 400 block of San Juan Avenue—from the alley to Main Street—to vehicle traffic and public parking from Friday, January 24 at 6 a.m. through Saturday, January 26 at 9 p.m. for the 2020 Rio Frio Ice Fest.

As the “hub” of Ice Fest activities, San Juan Avenue and Main Street will see increased foot traffic throughout the weekend. We ask the public to slow down and be mindful of all pedestrians, and ask your special attention to pedestrians with yellow flags crossing Main Street at San Juan Avenue. Thank you for helping to keep residents and visitors safe during this exciting and busy weekend event.
