The Alamosa Municipal Court docket for Wednesday, April 15th has been rescheduled to Tuesday, June 2, 2020. If you were scheduled to appear in court on April 15th, you will receive notice of your continuance by mail. Please contact the Court at (719) 589-2272 to confirm the change and that your address on file is correct.
The arraignment dockets for Monday, May 4th and Tuesday, May 5th will be held via Zoom Webinar. Please do not appear in person. The court will be sending notice with all the information needed for you to attend via telephone or through the web via US Mail with your scheduled court time to appear. All hearings that are not scheduled for arraignment on May 4th and 5th have been rescheduled to June 15th.
The court dockets for Thursday, May 21st and Friday, May 22nd will be rescheduled to June 15, 2020. Notices of continuances will be sent out by mail. The current scheduled court dates of May 28th and May 29th are currently still scheduled to proceed as planned.

During Court days, the following will be enforced:
1. Only the defendant(s) and witness(es) are allowed to be present in the courtroom. All other parties must wait outside the City Hall building.
2. Everyone entering the courtroom will be requested to use hand sanitizer prior to entering.
3. The courtroom is limited to *10* people (including staff) in the room at a time. Chairs will be spaced accordingly for social distancing.
4. If you are considered an At-Risk individual, have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or are an individual experiencing *any* signs of illness, do

The municipal court handles citations issued by the Alamosa Police Department and Adams State Police Department for traffic, parking and ordinance violations. Alamosa Municipal Court is a court of record with court sessions held four times a month. Arraignments are held on the first Monday of every month (Tuesday if the Monday falls on a holiday); while all other hearings are held on the remaining three court dates of the month. Please see the court calendar above for the scheduled court dates of the month. Court dockets are posted online 1-2 days prior to the court date.
The municipal court has the jurisdiction to hear and determine all cases arising under the Charter and Code of Ordinance of the City of Alamosa. Final decisions of the Court are subject to appeal to the District Court in the manner provided by law for appeals from a municipal court to the applicable district court.
The City Prosecutor is the legal counsel representing the City of Alamosa in matters involving violations of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Alamosa.
