Duties of the Planning Commission are to prepare and submit to the Council for its approval a master plan for the physical development for the City; and to advise the Council on zoning, subdivisions, annexations, major public and private projects, public works matters, city buildings, capital outlay budgeting and long range planning. This commission also acts as the Zoning Board of Adjustment to hear requests for zoning variances.
