It is with great honor that I have the opportunity to serve as the Chief of Police for the Alamosa Police Department. Our department has 24 sworn officers and 4 civilian employees. We are committed to providing a level of service that strives to achieve community safety, one that maintains and enhances the quality of life for all citizens and visitors of Alamosa. Our officers will maintain the highest ethical standards and community connectivity to achieve positive interactions, building trust and gaining support from our community. We will continue to be transparent and a responsive organization for both citizens and employees.
We are committed to a community policing philosophy and a customer service approach that involves and values the opinions and perspectives of all citizens within our community. We will work as a partner with the citizens, businesses, and other governmental agencies to provide the services that the community deserves. We will always do the right thing, no matter who's watching and emphasize the values of human life, integrity, professionalism, accountability, and respect with all of our members, and the citizens that we serve.

We the members of the Alamosa Police Department exists to serve all people within it's jurisdiction with respect, fairness and compassion. It is committed to the prevention of crime and the protection of life and property, the preservation of peace, order and safety, the enforcement of laws and ordinances, and the safeguarding of constitutional guarantees.
With Community service as it's foundation, we are driven by goals to enhance the quality of life, investigating problems as well as incidents, seeking solutions and fostering a sense of security in communities and individuals. We nurture public trust by holding ourselves to the highest standards of performance and ethics, and to seek solutions that reflect the desires of the community as a whole.
To fulfill its mission, the Alamosa Police Department is dedicated to providing a quality work environment and the development of its members through effective training and leadership.
